Fallen LeavesA Poem by AndreaBeing able to recall an Autumn romance and be able to smile, not regret.
We made love
in a pile of fallen leaves. Their crunch, the sound of their death is something I will always remember. The crisp smell of the Autumn air drew circles around my thoughtless head, and I was lost in a dream. I was simply asleep in yours arms where I was meant to be; hopelessly lost in your paradise filled skies: Such a radiant blue until the Winter breeze painted our love the darkest shades of grey. I find myself lying alone now in the very same pile of leaves; Where you graced my life with a smile and made my heart feel lighter than air. The world is still scented like the season, the playful uprising of Fall. It is still such a beautiful moment but it would be so much better if you were still here. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
