The Show Can't Go OnA Poem by AndreaAct One, Scene One of a classic tale of romance...and the star of the play is missing.
The curtains are closed,
the audience remains lifeless, the show cannot go on. The script i have written is much more than a play, it would have been the story of us. A story never to be told. A performance never to be seen; for the passion between us now is only as real as the ghost upon the stage. With your phantom light beaming. I find myself blinded. Oh, how I hate your light- Brighter than the sun, and too hot to the touch. I find myself burned, but when darkness falls I miss the way you illuminate my dying theater stage. Where the setting is placed and the parts have been dealt, but you, my star, never showed up. © 2012 AndreaAuthor's Note
