Lies

Lies

A Poem by Mar-Mar
"

Why do most people claim to hate liars? When they themselves, Have lied too.

"
Like ice,
My happy memories melt away,
And give In to the horrors of reality.

People laughing and smiling all around.
Yet, Lies roll off the tongue,
Just as often as a smile is faked.

Who knows what is on their minds?
Happy or sad?
Life or death?
Good or bad?

But people believe the smile,
The lies on their tongues.

I like it. It's a very deep poem. I like the ice comparison a lot as it gives a lot of depth to the poem. I guess the only thing I could point out is of course it's not the most descriptive, but that's just nitpicking. I really like it.
