A Poem by Sarah Khalil

There is only one place

between Heaven and Hell:

A place steeped in

fires and

raging storms

impossible to quell.

A place so vast, so full of empty space,

You might search a million years

To find a single human face.

" All the world is a stage and we are merely players" wrote Shakespeare. This poem conjured up earth (the plane between heaven ad hell) and the path we take here lifetime after lifetime learning and growing. (in my belief system at least).

You could search a million years life after life simply to recognize yourself or yet to evolve to a place you recognize those with whom you have traveled before.

You have brought me to my love of the poem of Edgar Allan Poe entitled, "Al Aaraaf".
Like many I could not understand the poem and so kept it in my list of study.
But,your poem is superb.I am impressed by its beauty.

This one is so lonely! Trapped between the good and bad, just..there. This place comforts and terrifies me at the same time if you know what I mean. Angi~

I really enjoyed this. My only suggestion is make it longer. Give us some imagery to feed on for this place in-between heaven and hell. love your style!

It's very lonely there isn't it? Succinct and wistful. I enjoyed your words.
