Prologue

Once, in the forests of a far-off land, a truly amazing thing happened..............

It was dark, and the wind was blowing through the trees softly. A tall girl appeared, walking slowly through the old trunks that had been growing there for so many years. This girl was pale, with shoulder-length hair, as black as midnight. She stopped for a minute, turning her head just slightly, as if trying to hear a faint sound. Her breath caught and her heart felt stopped as she felt something brush against her left arm! She instinctively turned to run... but stopped again as she saw the thing that had touched her, standing right in front of her! It had a human form, but something about the way it moved gave its unnaturalness away......It scared her, and she ran the opposite direction. Trees whooshed past as she tore through them in an effort to put as much between her and that thing as she could.
Emerging out of the forest, she rushed past one of the crumbling, stone pillars she past earlier; as she entered the woods. I.....I think I lost it! She thought, Maybe I can rest now.....She didn't think she could take much more....even IF she wanted to. Slowing down her gait, she turned towards the next pillar of three that stood at the edge of the forest. Reaching it, she sat heavily on the dying grass with her back to it. After a moment her breathing calmed down a little, and she could think more clearly now.
What was that....that.....thing? I need to get past it......I can't stop! Jungoro...the city by the river...was on the other side of that forest. That's where she needed to go....to get supplies and continue her mission. If I'm going to reach the city and get the stone, I need to be there tomorrow.....or it will be too late, she thought. She wanted to get the weapon, to save Livanicia from destruction in the hands of that evil king, Morin. If she failed....then the world would be at stake..... “That’s what I need to hear, receive your fate.”
She gasped. ”Who said th-that?!” she exclaimed. Rooted tensely to the spot, she waited for something to happen........A second later a light shown behind her. She looked up and saw a disturbance on the stone face of the pillar, suddenly the face broke...revealing a hole where the light was coming from. She was now on her feet, watching the operation warily as a green, shining gem floated out to meet her.

I like your story, but I think you have to watch out with the use of these "....." dots. Like the way you use it in : Maybe I can rest now.....She didn't think she could take much more....even IF she wanted to.

Things like: ". I.....I think I lost it!" is alright, if the person speaks. But be carefull you don't use to many of these dots.

Maybe you could eplain more about her. Who is she, what are those stone pilars and why are they there? Why is she alone on this journey and how does she feels about it?

You need to feel like her. Being afraid to walk alone in the woods, for example.

Nice job anyway! keep on writing!
