Part X

Part X

A Chapter by Ern M. Yoshimoto

If you write, Brother

Write with your own blood!

Gazing long into the abyss

I see

a light " two, in fact,

A pair of eyes darting back.

Behind the eyes, one can see

an image, engraved on it

words, a message I do not

   fully comprehend.
Even then, I nod my head

having gained some sort of insight

coming to some new understanding

of having learnt, remade anew

         Frederich Strasse,

takes me to Checkpoint Charlie
something
takes me back
      to 1953
I start thinking
about Nuclear bombs
M.A.D
World War III

slay the father
and spare the son
the spiritual war is over

they had won
they had won…

I’m scared as hell,
I’m scared of hell
I live there, it’s my home
The only thing I’ve ever known
scared stiff
scared still

carry on.

Author's Note

Ern M. Yoshimoto
this was not a typical relaxing vacation, it was a very pensive and philosophical one.

Visiting a place where the world went mad is quite a unique perspective to take, especially now thinking it is a tourist destination, much like Auschwitz.
But as I said, it is a crazy world, but we do have to remember the pain and suffering of outer past.
