Hold my hand and talk to me (Love poem #5)

Hold my hand and talk to me (Love poem #5)

A Poem by Ern M. Yoshimoto
"

Love poetry

"

Hold my hand and talk to me
 I’ll listen and laugh
  and wipe away your tears.

The sound of your voice when
 you tell anecdotes
  your hopes, your fears.

You catch me on one of my good days

Rain has stopped, the scent hangs in the air

Would you love me still in the autumn;
would you love me when I’m not there?

Hold my hand and talk to me
 sing me some praises
  give me some strength

I’m not half the man that I should be
 not even a fraction
 not even one-tenth.

I catch you as you’re about to fall
into a wintry, wind-stricken night

The stars are there, behind the clouds

They whisper: it’s alright.

Another superb love poem...testing her love at various seasons, times...reassuring her of your love at any time...even when the stars are behind the clouds...let me know that I am the man for you..."sing me some praises".... everyone need a little TLC once in a while...A very caring, touching love poem with many layers...Well done

Beautifully worded, filled with sincere commitment and gentle reassurance, like the repeated " You catch me - I catch you" - please do not feel obligated to reciprocate with a reading, as you have already been very generous in doing so previously - take care of yourself and write when you can even if you cannot post it all, I think it would be health giving activity if you can - carl

A very beautifully crafted poem, Ern! The writer wants someone special to hold his hand, to tell him little stories, and her hopes and fears. He wants to listen to everything she has to say, good and not-so-good. He tells her today is one of his good days, he wants to know if she will love him with the passing of time, even when he is not here physically. In return, he promises to be there for her always, to help her in every way he can, to catch her should she fall, to rise with her like the phoenix, from the old ashes so that together they may enter a new era. He tells her that the stars still shine behind the clouds, though she cannot see them in daylight, they are still there and my feeling is, that should a day come when he is not physically here, he will be here with her in Spirit. A poem filled with hope, understanding, love, of give and take, of hope and I love it, Ern! A privilege to read, thank you for sharing...
Ps/ Hope you are now well again, dear friend. Take very good care of you, keep safe and well... Every possible good wish ~ Marie ~

Now here’s a poem that shows its brilliance just as the stars behind the clouds. Its magnificent is hidden beneath the layer that obscures its direct beauty. Very cleverly done. It shows a brightness in the soul of the author. It shines through any darkness. I love this poem.
