Hiraeth

Hiraeth

A Poem by MB

My mind failed to recall
When things seemed safe from grime
My senses can no longer distinguish
The existence of happiness and anguish

As the moon continues to rise
So my eyes are blinded by lies
Maybe my sanctuary never did exist
And my hopes must now cease

I want to come home
Beside you where I don't feel alone
I want to come home
Where my dreams and delusions have grown

(I want to come home Beside you where I don't feel alone) I think perhaps many of us feel "alone" today even in a room filled with people. I enjoyed reading this beautifully written post. ~Sharon

An interesting poem here MB, I like the use of the title to convey the longing for home from the get go.

Best wishes
