The Voice

The Voice

A Poem by ErisedK

A voice in my head told me to go,
How worthless I am compared to gem,
Dragged me off the bay without I know,
Dying horribly coated with shame.

Little did I know it wasn't a friend,
Neither a foe; it just wants to take my soul,
I cried and pleaded relentlessly 'til the end,
In the darkened room as bleak as gaol.

Author's Note

ErisedK
I have a voice in my head and sometimes I just can't trust myself because I need to listen to it.
