It Took So Much To See

sometimes people do things and leave little hints along the way hoping someone might pick up before its to late but when no one does and it is too late people can look back and see that the signs where always there had they cared enough before to notice t

You told me you were ok

And I believed you fine

The pain that once was yours

Now is only mine

 

I was so naïve

To think there nothing wrong

It’s only now I see

Only now you’re gone

 

Maybe if I looked harder

I could have seen your pain

Now nothing can be seen

Through these tears as thick as rain

 

I can’t believe how

It took so much to see

The knife didn’t cause your death

My silence did, the nothing said by me.
