In dedication to the organisation – To write love on her arms (TWLOHA)
always remembering and supporting those experiencing depression and self harming coping mechanisms
She writes her love
In a thousand words
Shades of scarlet
Unspoken words
You never heard
Athousand letters
Share them around
You each have a piece
Don’t make a sound
And she will write
More love tonight
She writes you a novel
Do you care to read
Passion stained pages
Cold truthful read
Misplaced blame
Pictures unseen
Deep-seated pain
Broken within she
Who feels the shame
And she will write
More love tonight
She writes her love
In so few words
No fault lies with her
Powerful words
No one ever heard
Darkest of dawns
Pen firm in her hold
She finished this story
Don’t leave it untold
amazing! i loved it. it flowed. yeah, with someone wth bipolar i totally understand what you are talkig about in this poem. i know a few who actually cut to heal the pain, and i've never been that way, so i don't know what that feels like. but you opened my eyes again in this poem.
I lovelovelove this. So heartbreaking and yet, poetically beautiful. I love the metaphor of writing and the idea that someone in this situation could have been saved if their words were only heard. Great job with this!!
This poem was both very creative and original, and very beautiful. With it you have really captured the idea of self harm being like a message about a person's pain. Well done.
I love your writing because I felt emotion while reading it and if poetry or a story doesnt move me it just glosses over the surface without feeling or meaning! Great poetry! Shelly
