Poison the Healthy

note: this is a first draft every notice how no one, not even the people we choose to lead us, can keep the story straight for more then one week at a time?

 

Its just another perfect line
Another piece of poetry
Something that’s believable
Barely questionable
Something that will keep the peace

So tell me where the freedom is
Tell me why there’s war to end war
Can you tell me why the poor are still poor
Won’t you feed me some more

Will you show me where the truth is
Show me all the things you don’t want to share
Turn the lights on brighter
No need to speak up louder
Actions don’t need to be
an action film.
So why feed poison
to the healthy.

Its just some more diversions
A clever shift in the game
All I wants some honesty
A little less conspiracy
Something to make all the pieces fit

So tell me where the freedom is

You see very clearly at your young age. We, the little people, will never be told the truth, I'm afraid. No matter how honest or transparent governments claim to be, they lie. Also, their priorities are not our priorities. They could feed, educate, and provide health care for everyone if they really wanted to and make the world a much better place, but they won't.
