Waiting is the Hardest Part

in this Tv series called Frasier, one of the characters is in hopsital about to have heart surgery.One of the characters in the waiting room says waiting is the hardest part. This is inspired by those few words.

walking round in circles

the second hand moves back
before it moves forward
the clock is smiling
cause its still morning

It screams around your shoulders
It hangs heavy in the air
its whispered truth and
well thought lies
It's written clear
in all their eyes
It's all you know
and more you don't
still sitting in the
hardest hour
of just waiting

 

And here you are
spinning round in circles
once more
The thoughts of what could be
echo through your mind
You're not smiling
cause this is haunting
