I Fear

the many things i fear for my friends.............the last stanza is only possible fears though........one other fear i have is that the last stanza may soon be true rather than a possibility

I fear the depth of your pain

I fear the thought of losing you

I fear the pain beyond your eyes

I fear their lies maybe true

 

I fear the day I will say goodbye

I fear the blade against your wrist

I fear the blood that seeps again

I fear the days you might have missed

 

I fear the reason for your tears

I fear the day you cut too deep

I fear the day you do not show

I fear the day you take that leap

 

I fear the way you hide your fears

I fear the way you say you’re fine

I fear the way you hold it in

I fear this pain will soon be mine

 

I fear this day has come too soon

I fear the way you chose to go

I fear the place they buried you

I fear these fears you’ll never know
