Chore Poem

Chore Poem

A Poem by Erin
"

written for my creative writing class

"

too many clothes cover the floor
trails around my bed and up to the door
makeup is
spilled, smeared in their case
I can't believe this stuff goes on my face
papers are s c a t t e r e d
the trash can, it falls
my brother stuck
bend-a-roos all over my walls
my shoes are all scuffed
my mirror is
shattered
I found a stain from the drink that splattered
hand me a
vacuum
hand me a
broom
the worst chore I have is cleaning my room

I hated that too, which is why I closed the door, till my dad took it off the hinges, then I just ignored him when I was told to clean my room, hated it and still don't do it. I still just close the door. I think one of these days I should re read this poem and go clean my room! I think I might like the door open. Very fun to read piece, and those classes are paying off!

I agree! I hate cleaning my room.
I like how you used different fonts and colors for some of the words.
A very fun and true poem!
Great write!
