Wrote this silly lil poem about a garden gnome who just wants to relax however his Gnome “responsibilities” are holding him back hehe
I am a gnome in a garden of roses who whispers to the orchids of my jarring, stern stillness. I converse with the birds of the symphonies of the sky and wail to the insects of my stiffness. I am a gnome whose porcelain heart has cracked under the years of bleak and windy days sick and tired of watching life go by while I stand and waste away. So here I stand with my chipped hat and my withered discoloured overalls watching the bees fly and the spiders crawl. For I am a piece of decoration, an ornamental trophy, a painted smile from ear to ear I wish to be free. I witness life drift forward where I take not a step. I make not a sound. I shall now be saying this with a frown, I am a gnome in this garden and I wish I could back down.
This has a lot going for it. I don't know where you stand as far as seriousness of writing, but I have found that for me writing is nothing but revisions. And I normally don't care as much for prose poems but this one caught my mind. Nice job.

your words speak to be natural to sit a side and hear like a fly on the wall of what we could never see, love how you brought this together such a great way to see things we can't never understand. thank you for your share

You bring human qualities to the lonesome and bored garden gnome, personifiying disillusionment with its past and current situation, yep, many human folk do feel this way as if permanently stuck in a rut, or like a hamster always running circles within a wire wheel though never moving from where it started, I get you here, clever, imaginative metaphor indeed!!!
