Like a Million Stars

Like a Million Stars

A Poem by Erin Winter
"

We, as a people, are so wholly unique, each blazing with the light of a million stars. We should be ourselves.

"
We have a purpose in this life.
To each his own, a future bright.
Call fate or destiny,
Call it whatever you might.
We read in school, in all our lives
Of those who have believed the lies.
That being different means something's wrong,
That they shouldn't sing their different song.
If we would all look at our hearts
We'd see that which sets us all apart.
The hope and joy,
The fear and pain,
The selfless love that others claim.
All bright and shining,
Unique as their prints,
As bright as a million stars,
Yet some think themselves worth less than a cent!
Not knowing that whether weak or small,
Jesus died to save them all!
He loves us all
So desperately,
He only wants
To set us free,
To see us burn.
A million stars.
Burning to life inside our hearts.
