What I Know About Faith and LoveA Poem by Erin WinterI was given a task at my recent Bible study, and I'm sharing a little portion of what I've found in the form of a poem.
Jesus loves me
This I know For the Bible Tells me so. But if lies deceive, How can we trust? If truth is truthful, Then we must. It all comes down To matter of faith, If trust is to be Found or erased. Jesus said that Those who love Tell the truth To the stars above. Any who wish to follow Him Must show the Truth In how they live. Another way to always tell Is to look at those who claim to forgive. Lies are born, they're bred to hide. To fool where they fall, To ruin anyone's lives. So how to see truth, Past the dark? You shine a light Into it's heart. You look with love, With Jesus's eyes, Forgiving those who With deception hide. It all comes down to a matter of trust In Jesus's love for all of us. For if everything you could see is a lie, Faith is a challenge to keep alive. But trust in God, know He is true. And He would never lie to you. If you think me false then look to this! The proof lies in the words we say, On each and every glorious day, In the One who lives who died to save, Who gave up all to show the way. So if you're doubting trust to this: The one who loves would never lie His truthful words will never die. If you're believing in the lies, Trust in the One who lives on high. © 2014 Erin WinterAuthor's Note
