Ana Victoria

Ana Victoria

A Poem by Erin Kateri
"

She thinks she is only a "clown philosopher," but she is so much more than that.

"
She is beautiful
even if she doesn't see it
when she looks in the mirror.
She hasn't quite
found herself yet,
but she she is aware of her journey
and holds fast
to no false identity.
She has passions
that set her apart from the many,
and she acts on them,
fearless
of her peers' opinions.
If you will be vulnerable,
then she will be vulnerable.
Like a rose,
she will open
herself up to you
if she knows your questions
come from care
and not mockery.
She will hold you
when you cry
and listen
to the senseless conversations
you have
in your sleep.
She sees the world
in a unique color.
Each day
is a new adventure,
and there are no limits
to her imagination.
Do not shake your head
because you cannot see her vision.
Beg her
to show it to you.
