Confidence

How I wish that things were different

How I wish that I could change

How I wish that I was more confident

Maybe then it wouldn't be so strange

Oh how I wish I had the courage

Maybe then I wouldn't hide

Hide the way I feel about you

Maybe I should just swallow up my pride

 

But these words don’t come out so clearly

It’s usually a mess

How I try to be less awkward

But at least I’m giving it my best

 

I guess that I’m just worried

I guess that I’m just scared

Of the answer you might give me

But by then I’ll be prepared..

It takes awhile for one to gain confidence, but once you do it, nothing will seem like a problem. Some days, we are more confident in ourselves and what we want better than others. That's how it is with me. But I figured that once you accept who you are inside and out, along with your flaws, nothing and no one will seem like a problem anymore. You'll feel on top of the world!
