Hated By The World

Hated By The World

A Poem by Erik Daniel
"

A poem about being hated for following God.

"
Everything I once loved has turned against me.

To my so called "friends" I have become the enemy.

The enemy of everything they believe.

I have been cast out of the place that I once belonged.

They think I am alone now, but I am far from it.

For my almighty savior walks by my side.

I am guilty by association.

But the one inside me is greater than the one in the world.

And because I have him in my heart I am now hated by the world.

Thank you for reviewing!
Hahaha! The joke is on those that believe that because we make drastic changes in our lives
That we are now alone....He who opens his heart to Christ is never alone...
Great work

My pleasure
I understand loosing circles of friends...
Yet you know Love and can always offer love to those you think might hate you...
Still, I would be slow to assume people hate you for accepting God in your heart. Maybe they feel judged or suspect the intentions?
Give them the benefit of the doubt and let God judge their hearts.
Now, "Let not your heart be troubled"... ;)

It is good to write out our struggles.

I most certainly will. :)
Jesus did say, if they hated me they will hate you too and as another passage mentioned, if you are being tested for doing the right thing then consider it all joy. You words ring proud and triumphant, testimony to your conviction and I'm sure we all get the sense of it.

Anytime! I definitely will
Those people are not true friends at all.
If someone believes in god, or is gay or anything like that they are still they same person they have always been and shouldn't be treated differently.
This is an inspiring, deep, beautiful and so positive write. I loved it :)
Great job :)
