Little Bird

Little Bird

A Poem by Erica
"

A poem that is attempting to talk someone out of suicide.

"

Listen to my voice.

It's calling out to you.

A detective uncovering every single choice,

before you commit to what you feel you must do.

You're not broken.

little bird, It's all in your head.

Your wings flap as well as my words are spoken.

And There is no need to paint the world red.

No need to taint the world with that sickly sweet smell.

No need to force the earth to drink the metalic taste, of which it knows so well.

No need to sentence your soul to a place for the unforgiven.

Little bird, your song will be missed, if you don't go on livin'.

Very insightful, I've never thought as using a bird as an example through my poems, but this goes well together in giving the deeper meaning. Well Written.
