Distant Dreams

Feeling the soft caress of a lovers lips softly on my cheek,
Desires of longing unlock in my soul
          Aching~Hurting~Wanting

Somewhere close, to far for the heart to reach
The other half yearns to touch the wanting of this wandering mind
          Touching~Caressing~ Feeling

Soothing voices softly spoken touching the string of the listening soul
Far away in a distant land, aches the other half of this broken part
          Grieving~Mourning~Crying

Deep inside is an empty space where the soul awaits the caress
Of the reaching heart far across space
          Calming~Easing~Soothing

As the golden glow of the morning shows light to the world
The path to the other half stays quiet in the dark
          Searching~Looking~Staring

When the dawn of the day comes creeping up close
A light of hope enters the center of this aching desire
          Hopes~ Dreams~Believes
