Too Afraid

Too Afraid

A Poem by Elisa
"

Obviously, this is about fear, but most people would not consider this to necessarily be fear. More than anything, it is a wish for things to change.

"

Too Afraid

I am too afraid

To move on.

Too afraid of Rejection,

Acception, and

Pathetic Emotions.

My past is a

Stupid mistake.

Yet,

I crave it;

I miss the hopes,

The dreams "

I miss the

Security;

I knew I had a home.

Now, I am afraid,

Not of the past

As much as the future.

I fear Repetition;

I lack courage.

I know there is no place

For me here,

But I cannot

Find the strength

To let myself

LEAVE…

I am dying

And all I want

Is hope, promise, and life.

I am too afraid

Of a future

And too upset to say

I have been happy

SINCE.

About
All of my writing is dark and I do not believe in writing "happy endings" because they sound pathetic to me. I also tend to make my writing gruesome, with death being a common factor. If you read th.. more..
