No Face

No Face

A Poem by Elisa
"

This is a poem that kind of deals with the idea of abandonment, but not in a traditional sense.

"

No Face

One face,

Two face,

Three face,

More.

What side of you is real?

Is this paranoia?

Knowing,

You are not

What you seem.

I see smiles;

I see trust,

But not the same

As you give them.

Why do you give your soul?

What makes someone

Trustworthy?

I cannot believe

You see me.

My potential

Falls in the abyss"

What am I to you,

But the crud beneath your feet.

One day I dream,

Someone will see me

And I will see them.

We will stare

Past all misfortune and

LIES.

They will be my

friend

And I will have a home

In a place where faces

Do not exist.

All of my writing is dark and I do not believe in writing "happy endings" because they sound pathetic to me. I also tend to make my writing gruesome, with death being a common factor. If you read th.. more..
