Letter to an Angel

There's always one person in your life who you care about and love more than anything. Imagine if that one person got terribly sick and died. Now they're in heaven. What type of letter would you send?

I'm writing you this letter

And it's difficult, you see

Because words cannot express

How much you mean to me

These words flow on this paper

Like rivers, strong and free

And yet these words do not describe

Your impression left on me

The postage fee will be quite high

And I do not believe

The post men can deliver my message to you

My angel flying free

If ever, if ever my letter reaches you

Far, far up above

I hope you know, or realize

It's written all in love

If ever, if ever we meet again

And only time will say

I hope you'll have my letter

To read everyday

I hope we meet again someday

But please not someday soon

Because I miss you dearly

My angel in the moon

I wrote to you this letter

And it was difficult, you see

Because I know that you're an angel now

And that you're better off without me
