The Toronto Blue Jays completed their dismal road trip yesterday with a 8-5 loss to the Washington Nationals.
Juan Soto and Josh Bell both hit three run homers in the game. Both players had three RBIs yesterday. National's Carter Kieboom homered too. National's starting picher, josiah Gray pitched five innings and allowed just two earned runs. Toronto's Marcus Semien hit two home runs yesterday. Corey Dickerson and Teoscar Hernandez also hit home runs for Toronto. Hernandez has homered in four straight games. Jay's starting pitcher, Jose Berrios pitched five innings, allowing five hits. Toronto's bullpen allowed 10 hits in eight innings in the two game series. At the postgame press conference, Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo said the pitching has to get better in order to win games.
