The Toronto Maple Leafs got the job done last night as the team defeated the Calgary Flames 4-2.
Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe, however, wasn't happy with his team's performance in the first two periods. Morgan Rielly put the Leafs ahead 1-0, scoring just 58 seconds into the game. Joakim Norstrom tied the game at 11:43 of the first period. Andrew Mangiapane scored at 19:20 to put the Flames ahead 2-1. Alex Galchenyuk tied the game at 17:08 of the second period with his first goal as a Leaf player. John Tavares put the Leafs ahead 3-2 at 6:55 of the third period. At 9:16, Auston Matthews scored his 25th goal of the season. Toronto's William Nylander had two assists. Toronto's goalie, Michael Hutchinson stopped 32 shots last night. ![]() Michael Hutchinson The Leafs play the flames again tonight.
