Rumor Mill: Pacioretty Traded To the Oilers. It's Possible

A column about a recent rumor in the National Hockey League

Max Pacioretty is possibly on the trading block.

Word has it the Montreal Canadien's sniper, Max Pacioretty is going on the trading block and the Edmonton Oilers are seeking him.

The two players among the Oilers trade bait are Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Darnell Nurse.

Nugent-Hopkins scored 24 goals and 48 points last season.

His best seasons were 2013-14 and 2014-15.

In both seasons Nugent-Hopkins tallied 56 points.

In 2013-14, Nugent-Hopkins had 37 assists and in 2014-15 he had 32 assists.

The question I have is Nugent-Hopkins a good fit for the Canadiens?

Then there's Nurse.  He had career highs in goals, (20), and points (26) in 2017-18.

Nurse's statistics are not the best, but he is young and is full of potential.

All I know is this, Montreal has to make a huge move this offseason to prove to their fans that the club are trying to make the team competitive for next year.
