Bozak Pot Winner In Shoot Out

A recap of last night's Vancouver/Toronto game.

Tyler Bozak scores the winning goal in shoot out

The Toronto Maple Leafs got the job don last night, but the Vancouver Canucks gave the young squad a run for their money.

Tyler Bozak scored the shoot out winner to give his team the 3-2 victory and their second straight win.

There was no scoring in the first period.

Brock Boeser opened the scoring for the Canucks at 2:59 of the second period.

Sam Gagne made it 2-0 at 6:34 of the third period with a power play goal.

Auston Matthews scored the Leaf's first goal of the game at 8:23 of the third (period).

Bozak tied it up at 2-2 at 12:37.

There was no scoring in overtime.  As a result, the game had to be decided in a shoot out.

With the shoot out tied 1-1, Bozak managed to get the puck by Canuck's goalie, Jacob Markstrom.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen stopped the next shot for the win.

Both Andersen and Markstrom stopped 34 shots last night.

Leafs host the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night.
