Tyler Bozak scored the shoot out winner to give his team the 3-2 victory and their second straight win. There was no scoring in the first period. Brock Boeser opened the scoring for the Canucks at 2:59 of the second period. Sam Gagne made it 2-0 at 6:34 of the third period with a power play goal. Auston Matthews scored the Leaf's first goal of the game at 8:23 of the third (period). Bozak tied it up at 2-2 at 12:37. There was no scoring in overtime. As a result, the game had to be decided in a shoot out. Auston Matthews scored first in the shoot out. With the shoot out tied 1-1, Bozak managed to get the puck by Canuck's goalie, Jacob Markstrom.
