Last night's Rose Bowl game featuring the Georgia Bulldogs and the Oklahoma University Sooners turned into a classic. The Sooners were ahead in the first half. Georgia turned it on in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter. Going into the first overtime, the game was tied 45-45. Both teams kicked a field goal in the first O.T. As a result, the game had to go into double overtime. Oklahoma had the ball first. The Sooners managed to get enough yards to score another field goal to put the pressure on the Bulldogs. Instead, Georgia blocked the field goal. Georgia's Sony Michel scored a 27 yard touchdown in double O.T. to give the Bulldogs the 54-48 win and a trip to the National Championship. Oklahoma's quarterback, Hiesman Trophy winner, Baker Mayfield had 23 completions in 35 attempts for a total of 287 passing yards. Georgia's QB., Jake Fromm had 20 completions in 29 attempts for a total of 210 passing yards. Georgia's Nick Chub ran for 145 yards in 14 carries. Oklahoma's Rodney Anderson ran for 201 yards in 26 carries. Marquise Brown had eight receptions for a total of 114 passing yards. Georgia faces Alabama next Monday in the National Championship.
