William Karlsson of the Vegas Golden Knights got himself a hat-trick yesterday in a 6-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Vegas jumped ahead 3-0 in the first period with goals by Pierre-Edouard Bellemere, Karlsson, and Erik Haula. Toronto got on the scoreboard at 5:07 of the second period with a goal by Patrick Marleau. Karlsson scored his second goal of the day at 8:26. Under a minute to go in the (second) period, Auston Matthews made it 4-2 Knight's Just 27 seconds into the third period, Matthews scored his second goal of the day to closed the gap at 4-3 Unfortunately for the Leafs, the Knights didn't back down. Vegas scored two more goals before the (third) period was over. Karlsson finished the game with four points. Toronto heads home to face the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow night.
