Wings

Wings

A Poem by Andrea Di Martino

Love is a dangerous angel
One that does not come
Saying "Be not afraid".
There is terror in the glory,
Pain in blinding light.
And always the fear,
That in reaching heights
She will let you drop...
I wonder now:
Is this the flight...
Or the fall?

Love this as you examine the mix of emotions many feel in the heat of love, especially if their waxed wings have melted in the past. A nice and well balanced, flowing free verse.

Good one. I like the way you put so much into a few words and ask a profound question at the end. Nice, easy reading and good comparison of love to an angel.
