RainA Poem by EpiphanyPrince (Adam)Musicians need writers and writers need musicians.Be sure to keep Your head up in the game And remember the pains Came from a yesterday. Find the time for a look Deep down inside It’s a flip of the mind To find the light And let it shine. (Chorus) Today is the day I’ll use the rain To wash it all away. Just be sure to make more plans Ahead of the pain. When it’s sung out cold and blue A song in the rain On rainy days Ruins parades. Tomorrow is another day For a whole other parade Just turn it around And let it walk away. Things move to love With patience for change. Today is a yesterday And tomorrow is a whole new today A day to feel better For life matters To feel happy again. (Chorus) Today is the day I’ll use the rain To wash it all away. Just be sure to make more plans Ahead of the pain. When it’s sung out cold and blue A song in the rain On rainy days Ruins parades. In your mind Just rewind To remind your heart You always remember happy times. Sad is a trap That never feels The same looking back. The happy memories Always shine through Your lowest times. Don’t stay under the weather And bent out of shape If the morning never comes Stay in your dreams A little bit longer They are meant for you And the day will come When your morning shines again Life is the same Keep dreaming away. (Chorus) Today is the day I’ll use the rain To wash it all away. Just be sure to make more plans Ahead of the pain. When it’s sung out cold and blue A song in the rain On rainy days Ruins parades. (Bridge) And we should get to know Ourselves more Instead of always being told what to do We can all love without pain Wash away all the hate from yesterday That’s the way to wash away all the pain Tomorrow is the day For another parade Tomorrow’s the day that starts today. Use the rain today To wash away all the hate. (Chorus) Today is the day I’ll use the rain To wash it all away. Just be sure to make more plans Ahead of the pain. When it’s sung out cold and blue A song in the rain On rainy days Ruins parades. I will always love a rain For it can wash away your pain Wash away all your hate Feel free again. Wash away the hate And feel free again. December 30th 2020 By: Adam John Hopkins © 2021 EpiphanyPrince (Adam) |
