Fast Girl

Fast Girl

A Poem by EpiphanyPrince (Adam)
"

Musicians need writers and writers need musicians.

"

My heart opened up

To you before we met

And you are a mistake

I’m ready to get wrecked

I put you before I

Sounds soft to an ear

As I already heard

My heartache disappear.

She’s a fast girl

Loves revving

High on loves R,P,M

I’ll say goodbye now

Before a new day begins

She gets out

Before love sets in.

(Pre-Chorus)

That’s when

She turned her head over

And kissed

My hand on her shoulder.

(Chorus)

This isn’t love

But it could have been

This isn’t pain

But it feels like a sin

This isn’t a lie

But babe I’m telling you

I loved you right there and then

I’m always falling for love

It would be nice

If just once

Love fell for me.

This love is like

A watcha-ma-call-it

Doo hickey

Thing-a-ma-jig

Feels like I’m stuck

In the devils Freudian dream

She’s out of emotions

Just like her cookie crumbles

On my bedroom floor.

I’m stuck here wanting more

She’s a love last girl

And now I’m left

Staring at an empty door.

(Pre-Chorus)

That’s when

She turned her head over

And kissed

My hand on her shoulder.

(Chorus)

This isn’t love

But it could have been

This isn’t pain

But it feels like a sin

This isn’t a lie

But babe I’m telling you

I loved you right there and then

I’m always falling for love

It would be nice

If just once

Love fell for me.

She left before

Her memory had a chance to begin

Her perfume in the air

Like a silhouette

Of a one time fling.

She dips with a twist

Like her shiny lipstick.

She’s got my hands on her face

Like a screaming Monet

She put her head

Next to mine

Said “You ready to ride?”

I winked an eye

And said “I’m already in drive.”

Thinking that I got you

And that you’re all mine.

(Pre-Chorus)

That’s when

She turned her head over

And kissed

My hand on her shoulder.

(Chorus)

This isn’t love

But it could have been

This isn’t pain

But it feels like a sin

This isn’t a lie

But babe I’m telling you

I loved you right there and then

I’m always falling for love

It would be nice

If just once

Love fell for me.

(Bridge)

I already know

She was no surprise

She’s a fast girl

Who likes to take control

Now I’m closing my eyes

And I just want to know

When it’s all over

Where does the love go?

When it’s all over

Where does the love go?

When it’s all over

Where does the love go?

This isn’t love

But it could have been

it feels like a sin

This isn’t a lie

I loved you right there and then

I’m always falling for love

It would be nice

If just once

Love fell for me.
