Beautiful Coincidence

Beautiful Coincidence

A Poem by Epikos

I painted a picture of my life
to prove to myself it was worth living
You are the only color I was able to use
So I ask myself if this is an existence worth living

You showed me the true shape of joy long ago
and the bitter taste of sadness
Should I be thankful or resentful?

If one and one can ever equal three
then I'll know for sure that our meeting
was not an unsightly destiny,
but a beautiful coincidence

You showed me the true shape of joy long ago
and the bitter taste of sadness
Should I be thankful or resentful?

This lovely scar was left on me,
one that stings and soothes at the same time

About
I like to write; sometimes I can only translate my feelings into hackneyed garbage, other times I'm satisfied with what I've done. Regardless, I'll post both here and you can decide for yourself which.. more..
