Chapter 135: The Implacement of Alan Hurley

Trevor made it home around eleven thirty the next morning and immediately went back to his book. His parents were home during the day for once, but he didn’t have the gusto and talk to them. He didn’t have a hangover but he did crave his own bed. As he climbed in he realized he would have to see what Alan was up to. He hadn’t spent enough time with him and he needed to. Both he and Jamie were on their way to becoming tattoo artists. He might have to get one from Alan before he made his way into the world. He chose to take a nap and hit up Alan when he awoke.

He was up and at em’ at four p.m. He gave Alan a call. No answer. He sent hima  text and went back to his book. Twenty minutes later his phone buzzed. It was him and he said he was with his girl and what did Trevor want. Trevor said he wanted a tattoo and that he wanted to talk about dire situations. He said fine to come on through to his place. He said sweet, where at? His response was a sweet apartment in the big city and there wasn’t much else to tell.

Trevor was on his way. He really didn’t feel like going to the city but this is where Alan lived now and he wanted a new tattoo other than the one on his wrist. IT wasn’t long before he was in the city, the likeness of the downtown area glimmering in the distance. Maps was taking him straight to Hurley’s apartment and he was ready to be there. Ten minutes later he was on the seventeenth floor of some building and at the locked door of his residence. He knocked thoroughly and was let in. “Alan! How you doing?”

            “Well my friend. Come sit.”

“I see you’re here in the city now.”

“Yeah, she pays for the place while I get my feet in the ground.”

“Oh, well did you hear about Jamie?”

“Yeah, he got a job tattooing. Congratulations to him.” he said somberly. “You don’t sound as pleased?”

“I wish I had one right now.”

            “You’ll get there, don’t worry.”

“Thanks buddy. You ready to get started?”

“Sure thing. I want a symbol, it’s kind of rare. A Nordic piece called the life rune but in the shape of an right-side up peace sign. It’s the symbol a band I like uses.”

            “Where do you want it?”

            “Right underneath my eye.”

“Oh, sick. Let’s get to work.”

The tattoo took about fifteen minutes to do even though Trevor complained and got it bigger than what Alan had originally intended. Trevor was happy with his work. “Nice job!”

            “Thanks man.”

            “The lines look sweet.”

“I agree. This was a big step though.”

“I know. Also, thank you for saving my life and helping so much. It really means a lot to me.”

“Whoa, no problem. I’m glad I could be a part of this.”

“How did you discover your powers anyway?”

“Funny story actually.” he said. “I almost killed my brother, well one of the two, by pointed at him when I was scolding him.”

“Wow, what a way to find out.”

“No kidding. By the way, I’ll have the tattoo be free of charge.”

            “No way, awesome!”

“Yeah, call me whenever you need me.”

            “I will homie!”

            “Bye bye now.”

            “Bye!”

Trevor made his way to the car entirely pleased with himself. Tonight he would drink beer and read by himself while his tattoo healed up.
