Chapter 131: The Anomaly of Trevor Ferrell

Trevor was home. He laid down on his bed and put a damper on his lethargy. Trevor was tired but it didn’t mean he was ready to give up and lay down for good. He didn’t have a plan so much as an idea of where he would meet his next foe. He got up and made himself some hash-browns. It was delicious and after that he got on the computer. He saw he himself had an e-mail from some corporation and the initials on the end of the message read A.M. It read:

                Trevor Ferrell,

I am writing you about an opportunity that I don’t think you can afford to pass up. I need you to meet me in my office today at about noon or at your earliest convenience. I’m sorry but the information I’m about to disclose to you is personal as well as business. But, that’s of no concern to you I assume. So get on down here and meet me in person. Blackshell CEO.

A.M.

This was all very curious. How could anyone know about his personal business without some knowledge of the occult or supernatural. It didn’t make sense. But, then again not much did in these days. Trevor decided he would put some clothes on and go. He put on some khaki skinnies and set off in the car for his destination. The trip was wholesome and becoming. He put on some radio and just let go before he reached the executive suite that was the Blackshell offices. He walked in the big glass door and sat down in the lobby. The receptionist was flagging his attention. “Sir, who are you here to see?” she asked. “A.M.?”

“One moment please.” She phoned in on somebody somewhere else in the building. “Go to the fourth floor to room 312 and he’ll see you.” Trevor obliged.

On his way up the elevator, he hummed and shoved his fingers into his pockets. He needed something to smoke but it was already too late now. He was already in the building and on his way up to see A.M. The clandestine nature of their meeting seemed scarce and unorthodox but he needed to see what this guy wanted. It wasn’t much to say that he had high hopes, but there was nothing that could ease his pain, no matter what this guy had to say. He moved nervously and inconspicuously toward the door of room 312. It had the initial A.M. on it again and now Trevor was getting dubious. As Trevor walked through the heavy wooden door, he came in upon a tall dark and handsome man with a short beard and a two-piece black-on-black suit with a white shirt. When he spoke he spoke with such enunciation and posterity that Trevor was taken aback. “Hello, young man, sit.” he said. “My name is Armilus Maxwell and I’m the head of the most lucrative financial planning firm in the Southeast. Blackshell. Now you’re probably wondering why you’re here?”

“Yes I was, Armie. Can I call you Armie? You said you knew something about my personal life?”

“No you definitely may not call me that. And Yes I’ll get to that. Now I’m going to offer you a job and before you say no, I’m going to tell you it’s very financially stable.

                “Yes.”

                “What was that?”

                “I’ll take the job.”

“I haven’t even told you what it is yet.”

“I don’t care. I need a job and money. It’s what drives me when I have nothing else to go off of.”

“That’s good. We’ve got plenty floating around here.”

                “Excellent. Anything else?”

“Yes. We have much to discuss.”

                “Like what?”

“Like this business with you and Belial.” Trevor was appalled. “how do you know about that?”

“I know a lot of things that are… up your alley.”

                “Okay. Can you help me?”

“Yes I can. That’s why I called you here.”

“Can you tell me where his device is?”

“I will. But first you need to tell me something.”

                “Anything.”

                “Where is Abbadon?”

                “He’s in Origin. Why?”

“Origin? What is this Origin of which you speak?”

“It’s his home. It’s just empty space really.”’

                “Can you take me there?”

“I can try. It’s up to him if he wants to let me in or not.”

“Then sadly he may not. Will you try though.”

“Of course. Only if you help me get Belial’s device though.”

“I shall help you. But, I need Abbadon’s guidance. You need to take me to him.”

                “I will try.”

Trevor stood up and moved over to the wall. “Abbadon come forth!” A few seconds and a portal of gray and black mass made itself visible in the wall. Trevor moved on through and hoped Armilus would follow. But he didn’t come through to the other side and Don was displeased. He shewed himself immediately and discussed with Trevor the consequences of talking to Armilus. “Do you know who you’re speaking to?”

“No, I don’t know the man.”

“He’s dangerous and wants me to unleash my power on the world.”

“Just come talk to him and maybe you’ll get a better picture of what he wants.”

“No. I will not speak to that man.”

“What’s wrong with you? He seems legitimate in his quest to help me.”

                “How could he help you?”

                “I’ll let him explain.”

“Fine. I’ll come have a brief chat with him.” They both exited the portal in earnest and made their way out to the office. They sat down in front of Armilus and got ready to converse. Trevor shifted about, Don was a superpower all his own, which was probably why Armilus wanted him in the first place. And he, Armilus, was as intimidating a man as Trevor had ever seen. That was the premise of this meeting so far. “How are you Abbadon?”

“Nothing’s changed since the last time we met.”

“I think you’ll see that things will go my way this time.”

“Why’s that? You have some kind of bargaining chip you didn’t have before? What makes you think I’ll change my mind?”

“If you want to save the life of your little apprentice here then you’ll help me. S, I know how to find Belial’s plot to destroy some of humanity. If you know what’s good for you you’ll take the deal.”

“What makes you think I care of Belial’s little tinker goes off.”

“Well because your protégé here will certainly be killed.”

“You have a point I concede to. I have grown attached to this young one.”

                “Then we have a deal?”

                “What are your terms?”

“Simple. You help me take over the world and I’ll give Trevor everything he needs to stop Belial.”

“How do I know I can trust your word.”

“I always keep my word.” Armilus said menacingly. “Okay. You’ve got it.”

“Then we start now.” He pressed his intercom button. “Send Sam up here please.” he said. “He’ll be here in a minute Trevor, me and Don here have some things to discuss.”

The young man named Sam came and got Trevor a few minutes later, he also had on a suit and tie and was ready for Trevor to go wherever. “Will you be helping me?” he asked. He just nodded silently. Trevor begun thinking about the intercessors and how they were going to fit into all of this. As that was happening he led Trevor into his private cubicle, sat down at the computer and began typing and searching. “Shall I assemble my team?” Trevor asked. “Do it quickly.” he was told. Trevor sent out a mass text except for Blaine to meet his at this address. He instantly got texts from Alan and David saying “affirmative.” Then one from Jamie saying “I’ll be right there.” Simon came after saying it would be half an hour and Alex later on said he was on the way. Sam had maps pulled up on his computer but it was program he didn’t recognize. “According to our intel there are readings of high energy concentration on the coastline right here. He pointed to a sandy spot inside the outer banks.

“Okay, shall we?” Trevor said politely. “Is your team here?”

                “I don’t know. Let’s go see.”

“I’m just gonna print this right quick.”

Trevor stood there staring out the window and thinking about his life. When Sam got up they both moved to the elevator and on the way down Trevor could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. What was this feeling? He shook it off and made the way to the front door. Outside Jamie, David, and Alan wait for him to come out. “Hey boys!” Trevor said excitedly.

“Ready to go on a road trip?”

“Ready as ever. Where are we going?”

                “The beach.”

“Who’s this?” David asked. “This is Sam. He’s an assistant and he’ll be assisting us.” Trevor said. David and he shook hands. “Let us wait for the others.”

“Okay but no more than an hour.” Sam instructed. As the intercessors arrived one-by-one, Trevor grew wary of Sam. He couldn’t shake the feeling that him being loyal to Armilus could bite him in the a*s. But, no matter. The task at hand was all that mattered. Trevor was getting ready to go when David stopped him. “Are we gonna follow this guy?”

“Yes. All the way to the beach.”

“Okay. I hope you know what you’re doing.”

They headed out on their journey not ten minutes later.
