Chapter 127: The Escape

“We’ll have to wait for a ride from the outside.” Trevor said to them. “How will they know they’ll have to recreate the spell?”

“I guess we’ll just have to hope and push our luck.”

“Alright. But I’m putting Brittany down.”

Back in the outside world. “We’re getting close to finished up.” Jamie said, swabbing some ink off Simon’s leg. “Say, what’ll they do when they get done and out of there?”

“Well, I was thinkin’ about throwing a party tonight.”

“That sounds awesome.” Simon said with child-like enthusiasm. “We’ve retrieved the package.” David said comically. “I’m getting so tired of waiting.” Alex mentioned. “What if we never get out of here?”

The portal opened and Trevor caught on quickly. “Come on. Pack it up and move.” They hoisted Brittany back on David’s back. Through the other side they went. Back in Jamie’s driveway, relieved that they’d completed their mission, David lay Brittany’s body on the soft dirt. “Hey, check it out.” Simon said. He pulled up the leg of his shorts and there was a goat tattoo there. “Fascinating.” Trevor said. “I know, right. Also, I had to use nine more drops of my blood to get y’all out of there.”

“Is that what you’ve been doing while we were gone?” David questioned. “Yes. And I love it.” Brittany started to rouse and Jamie was the first one by her side. “Aw man.” Alan blurted. “What? Where am I?”

“You’re safe.” Trevor said. “All that time. Where was I? I remember being somewhere. In a dungeon.”

“You were in hell and we rescued you.” Trevor told her. “He… he raped me!” She started crying on Jamie’s shoulder. “It’s okay.” he said. “We got you here good now.”

“Who raped her?” Alan asked. “The demon Belial we killed at my house.”

            “Oh. That hooded guy?”

“That’s the one.” Trevor studied the brown book that was in his hands. “I think we’ll find all the answers we need right here.”

“Except about Percy. Don’t forget about him.” David spoke. “Right. He’s still another loose end.”

“Where is that Percy guy anyway?” Jamie asked. “he ran off after the fight. We’ll have to use Karen to find him.”

            “Who’s Karen?”

“A little witch with a crystal ball.”

            “Sound helpful.”

“She really is.” David gave Trevor a nudge. “Hey, it’s not like that.” he said. “Of course not.” He said rhetorically. “So, do we take her home?”

“Let’s get her inside.” Jamie suggested. They all carried her flat on her back into the house. Putting her on the sofa in the tanning room. “She’ll be fine here.”

“What did you guys save me for?” she asked. “Trevor here is the real hero. He was determined to get you back.”

“Thank you, Trevor. You don’t know how much this means to me.”

“Don’t mention it.” he blushed. At that moment he started thinking about Peyton. Then all the things he’d been through.”

“So, I think thinking about having a party tonight.” Jamie muttered. “Sounds like a plan.” Trevor said. “Boys. Tonight we have the night of our lives.”

“In the meantime why don’t you do me a tattoo.”

“Okay. I’ve still got my stuff laid out too. Just have to change the needle.”

“Alright.” Trevor was stoked. He already knew what he wanted too. A pentagram on the wrist, it was a tattoo befitting someone with demon powers like him.
