Chapter 120: Threshold

“There was piss dripping down my body and you let them drink it.” she screamed. “I didn’t have nothing to do with it, and besides I don’t think there was any at all. Just like my man over here said.” he responded. “Then tell me this. Why would Sarah tell me that you and Kyle put piss into the tequila bottle. Why was the tequila in a plastic water bottle and not the original one?”

“ Because it’s easier to pour that way. Trust me there wasn’t anything else in there.”

“I don’t trust you one bit. Not one measly iota.” she said. “Would you care to recant your statement once I prove to you there wasn’t anything foreign in the tequila.”

“No I wouldn’t. I know it was in there and you’re not going anywhere. That or I’m leaving.”

“Go ahead. Leave. See if I care.”

                “Okay. I’ll see you around.”

“Wait.” said Kris. “Don’t leave. I swear there wasn’t anything foul in there. I really don’t think so.”

“I’ll stay. But, I’m staying away from him and the tequila.”

“Fair enough.” Nate said with an aggressive tone. Jamie was back in the main area again. He swiftly got from the kitchen to the living room with a beer in one hand. “They’re all sayin’ you put piss into the tequila.” Jamie informed them. “Tell em’ it’s not true.” Nate said with a dismissing wave. “I still think it is.” said the girl. There was tension in the air and Trevor moved over near Kris. He lit a cigarette and narrowly missed the beat drop on the next song. It was getting late. Trevor leaned for the entirety of the next song, fairly drunk by now. He wandered into the kitchen one last time. There was the tequila sitting right there. He inspected it thoroughly. It was clear as a summer’s day. If there was any piss in it it was all water and nothing else. He couldn’t believe someone would do such an atrocity. Much less Nate and his entourage. Then lo-and-behold, Percy was being pushed by Nate to the door. His co-owner Kyle came out of the next room so see what was the matter. Percy fell face first into the door and scrambled to get up. Nate approached him quickly and he swung the door open and hit him in the face with it, then ran way out into the street with Nate holding his nose from being struck.

The girls stayed on the couch and the one from earlier was in the kitchen hiding away because she was scared of what was to come. Jamie stood in shock and followed Nate as he went outside. It was dark but the streetlights illuminated most of the street-way and Percy was standing past the car and on the side of the street like he’d seen a ghost. It was obvious he was afraid and uncertain of what was going on. Nate was after him for one reason or another. There was no turning back.

Percy decided to keep going and Nate was running full sprint toward him. Kyle, Jamie and Trev were following him out to the street and Percy had made it down to one corner. Nate made a b-line for him and hit him in the face with everything he had. Percy didn’t go down but he did have a mark on his cheek that would leave most in a constricted position. Percy kicked him in his knee and Nate fell down on his face and held his knee like anyone would. Percy ran further away and Michael and Kyle, Jamie and he were hot on their trail. Nate was agitated and angry now and he rose up above the street side and made hot on Percy’s heels. “What are you doing? Why are you after me?” he shouted. Nate didn’t answer, he just moved faster to get up close to him. Percy was now fighting back. He rocked Nate again with a punch that was barely seen in the low light of the night. Nate tackled him and took him down on the ground with a single swoop. He couldn’t have had any better an advantageous position to rain down on Percy with everything he had. Percy was defenseless and Nate started assaulting him as fast as he could for his overweight self and Percy had to block them to have a chance at surviving or prevailing from Nate’s blows.

The other three came up to them and Trevor was the only one telling him to stop. But, he wasn’t stopping and then came the time to figure out what to do with the two of them. Nate trying to kill him and Percy blocking all of his attacks from then on; at that time Percy started shaking as if he was paralyzed and sent Nate into a whirlwind of fury and it didn’t cease. Nate looked like he was being electrocuted and Percy was on the ground whining and convulsing as he did when he shocked Nate to his core and moved an extra inch off the ground to catch Nate in his stomach  before he could get up and go away. He did just that and the moment when he escaped his grasp he stood back far away from Nate and the rest before he held his ground and got to a position of power. Nate stood up and shook off the shock that he’d received before he moved again. Trevor felt nervous and moved back toward to the other two forming the crowd around him.

Nate rushed him again. Percy moved slightly to the left and hit him with a shockwave of electricity that would punish an elephant. Trevor was getting concerned now as were the others. He wasn’t sure if he could hold Percy down and get him to stop and rectify this situation. It was of no use. He saw Percy shock Nate once more and Nate shouted. “Why? Why would this happen to me? All I wanted to do was to please my house-guests tonight.”

This was the final straw. Trevor moved forward and so did Jamie. He moved closer to Percy and let him have a punch that was as strong as he could muster. But, it was of no use, he canceled it with a pro-dynamic shock that let him feel all the electricity in it. He could get away from its concurrent pull. Nate was being electrocuted and there was nothing any of them could do about it. This had to be put to a stop. “Where is this coming from!?” Nate screamed. He couldn’t fathom what was coming from Percy that was causing him harm.

Percy was upright again and surging with electrical energy. Trevor didn’t know what to do besides encroach upon him and try to go to him and calm him down. Nate was now lying face down in the street unconscious. Trevor looked back at Jamie and Michael before facing forward and seeing what Percy could do beyond his own knowledge. He was moving roughly more closer to Percy for a period to see how he would react. He looked estranged from the area and that he could prevent any of them from getting him in a position of constraint. The syncretic nature of his dominance forged a path that was a large sum that meant either control or complete and utter destruction. The flow of force that he consolidated meant breaking his guard and possibly destroying Percy. Trevor moved in for the critical blow but was dodged elementarily and served right back at him with centrifugal force. Trevor measured the counter attack and took this hit on his right shoulder. Percy was unstoppable. The beast of a man that had once been the eyes of innocence in the group was now becoming something to be reckoned with. He hadn’t counted on his use of electricity. Trevor put all his energy into his hand and tried to grab onto him but took the brunt of a punch to the side of his face. Trevor needed an ace in the hole. He flicked on the stoppage of time and made for Percy’s throat. As soon as he touched him there was…
