Chapter 116: Jubilation

After they strode through the gigantic sliding glass doors, they entered the section near the movies that held a video arcade and a sports store. The colors swirling about left Trevor in repose and apparently they were too. He walked along around the circles edge and bustled down to the music store and went in. Trevor was engrossed in the racks of CDs in the metal aisle. “What are these?” The angel asked. “Their compact discs. They play sound in the form of music. By the way, what’s your name?”

            “I.. I don’t.. know. I can’t remember.”

“That’s okay. From now on you’ll be known as Percy. I’m Trevor and that’s David.”

“Percy! Why that’s a bold name. Fitting for one such as myself.”

“You think so? Good. I like it too.” he said. Trevor resumed to thumb through the CD collectives, eying a few as he did so. He looked around at the walls covered in T-shirts, posters, and advertisements. It sunk in that he couldn’t buy anything right now, or otherwise it would be a bad move because he’d have to get in to the show later. That being said the rogue probably had no money. So he’d have to get him in by any means necessary. He had no propriety in standing up to opposing him anytime so that had all but left his mind. The continued on a walk around the giant ovalion structure of the mall in its entirety.

Trevor kept his eyes straight ahead. He’d been in this place dozens of times when he was middle school and he didn’t need to see much more of it. But, the angel walked around dumbfounded and didn’t have a clue. Percy must’ve been quick to pick up on things because he knew not to deviate from them. Otherwise there’d be no way to get a hold of them. Time was growing deathly close to the hour of the show they had to go to the entrance they came in on. It was a whole trip back down the corridor they came in on. The way back left him in wonder all the same, so it was the same. Slow moving.

They finally reached the halfway, the food court, and got to the far side in no time flat. It was approaching 8:50 and Trevor knew they’d be late. No worries though, he settled down and kept power walking with David at his side. The angel, Percy, followed close behind. It didn’t take long to reach the apex of the point where they had come through in the first place. When the large door closed behind them, Trevor felt like he had gone around the world.
