My Dawn

My Dawn

A Poem by Rachel Harper
"

Ever look at the sunrise and just feel like you are apart of it?

"

I was pink,

Like the morning at rise,

With a smile so yellow,

And a stomach so orange,

Hands soft like fluff,

Dangling fat and white,

Over a bright blue pool,

I was a cloud creeping,

Across the sky.

I would come again,

At the click of dusk,

And grab on to the black stems,

Of oaks, maples, and pines,

And I could hear,

The crickets in the grass,

In such a musical stir,

And I could feel,

The earth breathe.

I like your sunrises and sunsets. You paint well with your words.

Check definition for breath?
