Hurricane

Darkness..
The clouds bursting with emotion
Eminent thoughts and feelings race across the evening sky

The rain drizzles down like the tears streaming down my face
The wind picks up refusing to let me give up
Lightning strikes only causing me more pain

Tidle waves come crashing down over me…
Causing me to bleed… Love

The remainder of my emotions drown in the depths of the ocean
Darkness fades with the opening of a morning sky…
Then there is only me left to repair the ruins…

The storm has destroyed everything that we believe in..
But yet I still bleed… bleed love for you

The salty raindrops have dried up like my tears
and the sky has begun a new day
The hurricane is gone
And all I can do is pray for no more rainy days…

A powerful and well constructed poem. I love the comparison of the hurricane with the hurt you felt. Sometimes we have the weather the storm to see the sun shining through.

I loved the way you mixed emotion with the devastation of a hurricane , it was pure genius. A few of my favorite lines were : "The remainder of my emotions drown in the depths of the ocean
Darkness fades with the opening of a morning sky
Then there is only me left to repair the ruins..."

I really dig those lines alot , the writer still has to pick up the pieces even after all she has went through, that is the story ans struggle of many woman's life's. This poem is amazing and well put together kudos to you : )
