this is MEA Poem by EphemeralWritten out of frustration at my mother and the double PDA standard concerning same-sex couples. I was sitting in church when I wrote this.
Tell me why it matters
Simply, what is all the fuss? When everyone one is doing it Why only bother us? The couple three rows down She's snuggled in his arms But--God forbid--I hold h e r hand And you'd think we're causing harm Well, now I think it's time Time for you to see To show you through something innocent That, Mother, this is me © 2012 Ephemeral |
