Unfound LoveA Poem by DustinAnother piece of work depicting some recent turmoils.
Unfound Love Quietly I walk the night No one by my side All my feelings I recite Not a break in my stride “I wish you were here,” I tell the air “How I need your love Perhaps if I repeat my prayer He will listen from above” The scent of flowers fills the breeze Your perfume I could taste Leaves would sway on their trees The smell had been replaced My knees gave in; I hit the floor No more of this I could take “Oh please my God, I do implore Not another night of ache!” Love that’s lost at least can share Memories that passed Perhaps even you can repair If your love can last The love I need has not yet been It’s nothing except dreams My hopes begin to stretch too thin Another night, it seems Once again I repeat “Soon will come the day With her help I’ll be complete And wash this pain away And then a tear rolls down my face I realize what’s true Every day’s this same disgrace And the pain begins anew © 2008 Dustin |
