This Valentine's, I Believe.A Poem by Mehak MushtaqI hope it is okay - you and me, Nothing big just happy life I foresee. There have been those lot of lovers and charming guys, Yet have been so many questions, whats and whys. I lived a life all by myself before, But I really don't remember it anymore. All those fair faced men waiting for a chance, And I had been waiting for a perfect romance. I have lived love in so many faces, And kept souvenirs in my silver cases. But so often, have been bit by the cold winter night, Those changing, evil weathers, your season is just right. Is more than eternity anywhere? So I could run with you there. Not that life-ly relation of husband and wife, No luggage of this earthly life. Didn't have very much to think about, I could hear so loud my heart shout. No praises, no flattery, no promises you make, That's how (we are/)this is real when everyone's fake. Commitments, words, no love letters you leave, Not needed much, this is the first time I believe. -Feb 14, 2013 12:43 a.m © 2013 Mehak MushtaqFeatured Review
