I have seen.

I have seen.

A Poem by Mehak Mushtaq

I met people - humble, sweet and subtle.
I met people - caring and daring but brittle.

I've gone places - barren and lush green.
I've gone places - sunshine and rain I've seen.

I met strangers - pleasing and insane.
I've met friends - reflection of my desires, boon or a bane.

But family - the people who are mine.
And home - place which is divine.

I've seen heaven - pious and protected.
I've seen hell - evil infected.

I found love - madness and agony.
I've found love - you and me.

I don't know...heaven seems nice but I think all the really interesting people will probably be in hell. Most certainly, all the ones who knew how to have fun...(laughing) Now...EVIL...evil to me is self righteous hypocrites who make up rules for everyone else while they proclaim they are immune to punishment. Evil is killing and stealing and glorifying war in the name of God. True, there are other evils... but they are small compared to evils sold to impoverished souls and disguised as goodness. Just my thoughts...

This poem is so great I've saved it in my notes to read! It defines life to me as a whole. Boon or bane? Boon or bane? Boon or bane about everything we say, do, and see! A great write!!!! xx

We only know what we can "see". Through life experience but even more within the exploration of philosophy and logic, mixed with the perceptions of emotion and imagination. The possibilities are endless and ever expanding. Sometimes we need to let go of what we know and have "seen" to learn and grow and see again.
A deep and expressive write.
