His balance.

His balance.

A Poem by Mehak Mushtaq
"

I believe that when God doesn't answer our prayers, He's busy balancing His blessings. I believe in Karma and I believe that we live good and bad equally.

"
When I believed in His balance
And Karma and all He did,
I embraced the thorns He laid in my way
Thinking, He might be busy balancing His blessings.

When I believed in His balance,
I let myself be cold, when I was cold.
For, this was my winter.
Believing my spring isn't too far.

When I believed in His balance,
I never counted His givings but my deeds.
Understanding, good for good and bad for bad.
Never questioning His balance.

When I believed in His balance,
When He took, I gave it away.
I knew mine is to come.
Remembering, giving me more disturbs the balance.

When I believed in His balance,
He added salt to my ingredients.
And I knew too much sweet too wasn't fair.
Knowing that He is perfect in His science.

When I believed in His balance,
I was aware tomorrow was my day.
Since, tomorrow isn't decided.
Caring, He made us the writers and became an editor.

When I believed in His balance,
I lost a love game and accepted my defeat.
For, a perfect romance was being planned.
Admiring His plannings, I moved on.

When I believed in His balance,
And when He broke down the bridges I was walking on,
I fell in the waters deep.
Having faith, I found solace in the heart of the ocean.

When I believed in His balance,
I flew and He shot me down.
My previous flight might've been higher than limits.
Smiling, I knew heaven was waiting to heal me.

When I believed in His balance,
I wanted nature to hurt me after loving me.
For, I had had my share of love.
Haha, but He loves me, made me numb.

When I believed in His balance,
I knew there was enough hatred and love
And I had to receive both to be balanced.
Cleverly, I understood.

It's that I believe in His balance,
I know it's my turn to love.
Some other way I will compensate now.
Bravely, I'm ready to sacrifice - balance another part of me.

how can one see god as a role model when they have never seen his actions, never seen her in person, never witnessed it in themselves? all they have to go by is the word of other men, and these written words are thousands of years old. man is a great liar and i, for one, think that blind faith in anything is foolish...i love your love and devotion, that in itself is beautiful...perhaps the real message is that man should treat man with that love and faith and devotion instead of murdering, starving, torturing, enslaving and deceiving each other? maybe the people of this world should learn from people with your passion for others instead of dated dogma and antiquated and rigid culture...excellent write!

It is always better to believe in ones self than in another for our inner love.It is nice to be loved But love is not what gives contentment and that is happiness

Beautiful piece Mehak! Your explanation of karma and holding out because you know something better is going to happen is simply wonderful.

Karma. Such a simple concept, and yet so many of us ignore the wisdom. You clearly do not. Well done.

My pleasure.
A truly moving piece. To me the theme is of someone who you care for, and though their method of returning that caring is a bit harsh, is helping balance your person. If I am wrong then I am sorry misunderstanding the theme. Either way, a very beautiful piece, and I hope to read more from you. :)

A poem to be cherished and read and re-read from someone who's just 16! What more can I say Mehak, 'cept that sometimes it takes someone much much younger to show you the way!
Many thanks dear! You are a very wise girl! :)

Thank you so much. :) Anytime.
An interesting way to look at life. It is said that we reap what we sow and that we must partake in suffering in order to partake in Glory. I like the faith in this and the acceptance of all that life throws at you. Nicely written.

Wonderful! My favorite part:
When I believed in His balance, When He took, I gave it away.
I knew mine is to come. Remembering, giving me more disturbs the balance.
When I believed in His balance, He added salt to my ingredients.
And I knew too much sweet too wasn't fair. Knowing that He is perfect in His science. Nicely put! :)
