The Art of an Artist

The Art of an Artist

A Poem by Ennay

Shakespeare created the theme that once you have been written by a writer, then you will never be forgotten.

He wrote a poem for a love that he had.

“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?”

Almost as if this poem were more like a letter.

Or perhaps a message for his lover.

People don’t think like that anymore.

The artists do.

And many seek out the artists to find what they taste like.

Then they run.

Realizing they are filled with nothing but ink.

Only an artist can love an artist.

Because only they would be able to read between the lines.

They would see what the camera truly focused on.

And they would be able to understand why the colors were blue and gray.

They would know what the nostalgia chord of a song is.

Even without knowing the name of it.

Art has its muse.

But artists have their love.

Like Shakespeare had his.

And I have mine.

Just like you have yours.

And if you ever fall in love with an artist.

They may turn you into art.

So that long after the two of you are dead.

That love lives on.
