There are so many things I wish I could say to you.

Like how I love your laugh.

Hearing it just makes me happy.

Or how comforting your voice is to hear.

It’s calm and yet full of life.

And there are so many things I wish I could say or admit to you.

But none of it would be right.

I’ve tried and I just can’t.

I tend to let them drown within my mind.

Or just saying them silently.

Knowing you can’t hear. 

Maybe I just have to wait.

Even though it feels like I shouldn’t have to.

So I guess I’ll drown.

Here beneath the waves of words left unsaid.
